Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information, Categories of Personal Information Processed, Processing, and Retention Period)
① The purposes for which Law Firm Sunwoon processes personal information, the categories of personal information processed, and the processing and retention periods are as follows:
The personal information we process will not be used for purposes other than those specified below. If the purpose of use changes, we will take necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.
Client Information

Personal Information for Attorneys (including Trainees), Professionals, and Staff
- Purpose of Processing
- Verification of identity and eligibility for recruitment, utilization as HR materials after joining, and use for future continuous recruitment opportunities.

1. Required Information for Decision-Making on the Recruitment of Attorneys and Other Professionals, and for Performing Duties :
Email, Personal Photo, Name (in Korean, English, and Chinese characters), Date of Birth, Gender, Current Address, Mobile Phone Number, Home Phone Number, Emergency Contact Information and Relationship, Educational Background (School Name, Major, Duration, Grades), Bar Exam Session and Grades, Judicial Examination and Training Institute Session and Grades (for trainees/legal officers), Military Service Details (Classification, Service Period, Branch, Rank), Self-Introduction Letter
2. Optional Information: Work Experience (Employer, Job Description, Duration of Employment), Foreign Languages (Language, Official Language Test Name, Score, Date of Acquisition), Overseas Training (Purpose of Training, Location, Duration of Training), Certifications and Licenses (Certificate Name, Issuing Authority, Date of Acquisition), Preferred Area of Specialization, Submitted Documents

Article 2 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)
① Law Firm Sunwoon processes and retains personal information within the period stipulated by relevant laws and regulations, or within the period consented to by the information subject at the time of collection.
In principle, the personal information of the information subject will be retained and used until the purpose of processing such information is achieved or the information subject withdraws their consent. Once the purpose is achieved, the information will be promptly destroyed without delay.
Article 3 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
① Law Firm Sunwoon processes personal information within the scope specified in Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information and Categories of Personal Information Processed) and provides personal information to third parties only in cases that fall under the provisions of Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as with the information subject's consent or under special provisions of the law. Currently, Law Firm Sunwoon does not provide personal information to third parties.
Article 4 (Rights and Obligations of Information Subjects and Methods of Exercise)
① The information subject may exercise the following rights related to the protection of personal information with respect to Law Firm Sunwoon at any time:
1) Request to access personal information 2) Request correction if there are errors 3) Request deletion 4) Request to stop processing② The exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 can be carried out by submitting a written request, email, fax, etc., in accordance with Form No. 8 of the Personal Information Processing Method Notice to Law Firm Sunwoon, and Law Firm Sunwoon will take action without delay.
③ If the information subject requests correction or deletion of personal information due to errors, Law Firm Sunwoon will not use or provide the relevant personal information until the correction or deletion is completed.
④ The rights under Paragraph 1 may be exercised through the legal representative of the information subject or an authorized agent. In this case, a power of attorney in accordance with Form No. 11 of the Personal Information Processing Method Notice must be submitted.
Article 5 (Destruction of Personal Information)
① Law Firm Sunwoon will promptly destroy personal information that is no longer needed due to the expiration of the retention period or the achievement of the processing purpose.
② If the retention period consented to by the information subject has elapsed or the processing purpose has been achieved, but there is a need to continue preserving the personal information according to other laws, the personal information will be moved to a separate database (DB) or stored in a different location.
③ The procedure and method for destroying personal information are as follows:
- 1) Destruction Procedure:
- Law Firm Sunwoon selects the personal information to be destroyed, based on the reason for destruction, and obtains approval from the personal information protection officer before destroying the information.
- 2) Destruction Method:
- Law Firm Sunwoon destroys personal information recorded and stored in electronic file formats in a way that makes the records irretrievable. Personal information recorded and stored in paper documents is shredded with a shredder or incinerated.
Article 6 (Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information)

Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
① Law Firm Sunwoon will continuously disclose any changes to the Privacy Policy, including the timing of such changes and the updated content, in accordance with changes to relevant laws or internal regulations.
Article 9 (Remedies for Infringement of Rights)
